There is no shortage of youth talent in this FC Barcelona team that is on course to win all the possible titles under the guidance of Hansi Flick. The German coach has shown that his starting lineups are selected purely on merit, and age does not prove to be a handicap for youngsters vying for minutes.

As a result, the Catalans continue to remain attentive of the youth talent emerging throughout the world, keeping in line with their tradition and policy of laying a lot of emphasis on talent development.

In this regard, Fichajes reports that Barcelona have now set their sights on one of the most promising talents that has emerged in South America in the last few years, i.e., the Argentine Franco Mastantuono.

The young midfielder has made a lot of name for himself already, despite being only 17 years of age. The report claims that Deco has already earmarked his name as a priority target in the South American market, especially as he believes he can be a highly valuable target in the coming years.

However, the Blaugranes are not planning to make an immediate push for the midfielder, but have a rather long-term interest in him. This is particularly the case as the Catalans are not in a very good financial position, which makes it difficult for them to make an immediate investment in a youngster whose release clause stands at €45 million.

Still, Barcelona can explore some creative ways to realise his incorporation, especially if the youngster continues to develop in the way he has up to now.

However, getting him will not really be easy, as several other big European clubs, including Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, and Manchester United, are also interested in the Argentine gem.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are also remaining equal to these sides, as they look to try to incorporate one of the most in-demand youth talents in South America.
