FC Barcelona have a well-rounded squad in most positions, especially with Hansi Flick taking it upon himself to improve a number of players that he had inherited. The likes of Raphinha, Eric Garcia and Ferran Torres have all benefitted from the German coach’s arrival.

Raphinha’s improvement needs no introduction considering just how well he has played so far this season. He is in the running for the Ballon d’Or, probably second favorite after Mohamed Salah as things stand and has become one of the very best in the world.

Ferran Torres has had an immense impact in a different manner though. The Spaniard is not a nailed-in starter but is often rotated with Robert Lewandowski during games and has shown immense composure in front of the goal.

Whenever given a chance, either off the bench or as a starter, Torres has more often than not taken his chances which is quite impressive. He might not have had a good game against Atletico Madrid but that is a small blip in an otherwise good season.

Now, as per Fichajes, Barcelona have set an asking price of around €40 million for Ferran Torres amid widespread interest with top European clubs such as Napoli, AC Milan, Tottenham and Arsenal keen on signing him ahead of next season.

These clubs might be looking to take advantage of the fact that Ferran isn’t a guaranteed starter for Hansi Flick’s team, but for a player with his talent and potential, he deserves to play more regularly week in and week out.

That said, Barcelona must not be entertaining any kind of offers for the Spanish striker. Yes, he can be frustrating at times when he misses key chances but he is one of the most intelligent players in the squad and will be very useful going forward.

It remains to be seen if any of the clubs make a significant offer to sign Ferran Torres and if Barcelona accept any offer made for him. Ideally, they should be resisting the temptation, but let’s wait and see how Deco & co. go about it.
