With the focus firmly back on nurturing young talent at Barcelona, the club are scouring the markets in Europe and outside to bolster their youth ranks.

The Catalans recently signed Fabio Blanco from Eintracht Frankfurt earlier this month and are looking at other potential recruits for the youth sides who can grow into first-team stars in the future.

According to SPORT, Brazilian wonderkid Endrick, who plays for Palmeiras is on the radars of the club, with the Blaugrana scouting him extensively. Aged just 15, the young forward has drawn comparisons to Selecao legends Romario and Ronaldo for his goalscoring prowess.

Currently participating in the Copa Sao Paulo de Juniores, one of the most prestigious Under-20 tournaments in Brazil, Endrick had made a solid impression in the early stages, but was forced to miss the past couple of matches due to fitness concerns.

The teenage prodigy returned to action on Saturday as Palmeiras defeated Atletico Goianiense 3-0, with the striker winning a penalty soon after coming on as a substitute.

Able to play as a striker or a winger, the teenager is known for his pace, dribbling abilities and close control, while he has also displayed good finishing skills for a player his age.

The report claims that Jose Manuel Barla, Barcelona’s scout for the South American region, was in attendance for the game that went down at Diadema in Sao Paulo to take a look at Endrick.

And it is claimed that he will continue gathering information on the 15-year-old prospect in the coming weeks as the tournament enters the final stages. Apart from Barcelona, scouts from other European clubs such as Sevilla, Manchester City and Liverpool were also in attendance to get a closer look at the Palmeiras wonderkid.
