The transfer team at La Liga giants Barcelona have today closed a deal for a highly-regarded up-and-coming youngster.
The player in question? Ibrahim Diarra.
It is of course the name of another prodigious starlet which has dominated the headlines in Catalunya across the week to date.
This comes as Barcelona continue to close on the signature of Swedish sensation Lucas Bergvall.
Late on Tuesday, though, it has been revealed that a fellow 17-year-old is all set to link up with the Spanish giants, too.
As per a statement on the part of the Africa Foot Academy, Malian attacker Ibrahim Diarra – nicknamed ‘Kaka’ – has flown out to the Catalan capital.
The move comes thanks to Barca’s collaboration with the Africa Foot setup, who aim to identify and develop the continent’s most promising breakthrough talents.
“Ibrahim Diarra, known as Kaká, is leaving to train in Barcelona as part of our collaboration with Fútbol Club Barcelona,” it was announced.
Diarra, for his part, is an explosive winger, who generally operates on the right.
The Malian first began to pique attentions across Europe late last year, en route to securing the Player of the Tournament prize at the U17 World Cup.
He is now set to link up with Rafa Márquez’s Barcelona Atlètic, before putting pen to paper on terms at the Camp Nou in December, upon turning 18.
