Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez continues to show his commitment to the club despite Chelsea’s growing interest.
In the last few hours, it has come to light that the Premier League side have made it clear they intend to put forward a bid worth €58 million.
While this figure is significant and Barcelona could be tempted to negotiate, Fermin himself is not even entertaining the idea of leaving, reports Albert Fernandez.
The 22-year-old is fully focused on staying at Barcelona and has no intention of changing his stance before the end of the transfer window.
For Barça, this situation is being handled calmly. The club expected that a player of Fermin’s quality might attract late interest, and Chelsea’s approach has not caused any panic inside the boardroom.
Chelsea’s interest is genuine, and the English club have already informed Barcelona of their willingness to present a formal offer.
The proposal could serve as a starting point for talks, with Deco and his sporting department likely to demand a higher figure if negotiations were to advance.

However, the entire conversation would depend on Fermin agreeing to leave, and so far, nothing indicates he has any desire to do so.
In fact, reports confirm that Fermin attended training as usual on Wednesday and even held a brief exchange with manager Hansi Flick.
The coach has already expressed his admiration for the midfielder, seeing him as an important piece of his plans moving forward.
Despite the growing noise, Fermin’s stance is simple and firm that he wants to continue at Barcelona.
His focus remains on competing for minutes under Flick and contributing to the team’s success this season.
Unless there is a major shift in his thinking, Chelsea’s hopes of securing the Spaniard seem slim.
For now, Barcelona can count on the loyalty of one of their most promising young players, as Fermin Lopez looks determined to write his story at Barcelona rather than elsewhere.
