Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele looks very close to joining Paris Saint-Germain.

The Catalans believed the 26-year-old wanted to sign a new contract with his current deal expiring in 2024.

But he has reportedly performed a big U-turn as he has agreed to move to the French capital this summer.

With the Frenchman set to leave, Xavi Hernandez’s side are looking to sign a replacement for him.

According to SPORT, Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix is one of the favourites to replace Dembele.

Given the economic troubles of Barca, they will likely be looking to secure a loan deal with a purchase option included.

Felix started his career at Benfica before moving to Madrid in a club-record £113 million deal in 2019.

But the 23-year-old failed to live up to his enormous potential at the Metropolitano Stadium, scoring 34 goals in 131 appearances across all competitions.

Manager Diego Simeone sparingly used the Portuguese during the first-half of last season before sending him on loan to Chelsea.

But his performances at Stamford Bridge weren’t convincing as he found the back of the net only four times in 20 matches.

The Blues, therefore, decided against making Felix’s loan move permanent.

The 23-year-old doesn’t want to spend another season at the Indians as he revealed he would love to play for Barca.

But it remains to be seen whether the Blaugrana and Atleti reach an agreement over a move for him.
