La Liga giants Barcelona have late this week been dealt a blow on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that the club’s latest move to register midfield star Dani Olmo for the 2nd half of the season has been rejected.
Olmo, for his part, of course sealed a return to Catalunya’s capital over the summer, as part of a big-money move from RB Leipzig.
Owing to the club’s precarious financial situation, however, Barcelona were only able to register the Spanish international for the opening half of the La Liga campaign.
Efforts, in turn, were recently kicked into gear to open up the necessary space on the club’s wage bill to ensure Olmo’s registration through next summer.
As alluded to above, however, the latest proposal put forth by the Blaugrana has today been rebuffed.
As per a report from Fabrizio Romano, citing Mundo Deportivo:
‘The commercial court n10 of Barcelona has rejected Barça’s appeal for the registration of Dani Olmo.’
A new appeal will be launched by Deco and the Camp Nou brass over the coming days, ahead of the deadline for Olmo’s registration on December 31st.
