The powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona have on Monday registered another three players for the upcoming La Liga campaign.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Eric García, Clément Lenglet and Ansu Fati as the trio in question.
In the case of stopper Eric, such news should come as little surprise, with the Olympic champion expected to play a prominent role back in Catalunya’s capital this season.
For Lenglet and Ansu, though, their respective registrations have turned heads.
Both players have been hotly tipped for departures from the Camp Nou this summer, with the former in particular being actively pushed towards the exit door owing to his hefty wage packet.
Their status with La Liga, though, is in fact not indicative of either Lenglet or Ansu’s status in Hansi Flick’s squad.
As per MD:
‘Lenglet being registered was a formality before letting him go in order to generate ‘fair play’. The same thing happened with Sergiño Dest just before he went on loan to PSV Eindhoven.’
The intention of the Barcelona brass remains to move Ansu on, too, albeit with the Spaniard’s latest injury blow making as much difficult.
