Barcelona reclaimed their place in LaLiga’s top three places after a dramatic late win over Celta Vigo.
Scorers: Koundé (OG) 47′; Lewandowski 45′, (PEN) 90+7′
Robert Lewandowski broke the deadlock of a cagey encounter on the stroke of half time with a rifled shot inside the penalty area after being teed up by Lamine Yamal.
The hosts pulled level just two minutes after the restart at the Estadio de Balaídos through Jules Koundé’s deflection on an Iago Aspas shot wrongfooting Marc-André ter Stegen.
But the finale was mired in controversy as the Blaugrana were awarded a penalty deep in added time after Fran Beltrán collided with Yamal before Vicente Guaita denied Lewandowski.
Barça were afforded a reprieve with a retake of the spot kick due to Guaita coming off his line, allowing the Poland international to make no mistake at the second attempt.
Xavi Hernández’s side reclaim third in LaLiga after Atlético de Madrid’s win earlier on Saturday but remain seven points adrift of champions-elect Real Madrid.
