Barcelona may have just received the clearest signal yet in their pursuit of Luis Diaz.
According to SPORT, the Colombian winger is now ready to begin the process of leaving Liverpool, with his agents set to inform the English club of his decision.
Diaz believes his time in the Premier League is over and wants a new chapter, one that could very well take him to Camp Nou.
The 27-year-old has already returned to Liverpool to begin pre-season training, but behind the scenes, talks are set to begin between his representatives and the club.
For Barcelona, the news could not be more timely. After missing out on Nico Williams, who extended his contract with Athletic Club, Deco has now placed Diaz at the top of the list to strengthen the left flank.
The sporting staff believes that the team urgently needs a winger with pace, directness, and the ability to take on defenders, qualities Diaz has in abundance.

While the winger is older and more expensive than Nico, he is still very much admired by Hansi Flick.
The problem, however, lies in the fee. Liverpool are reportedly demanding between €80–90 million, well above what Barça are currently willing or able to pay.
Complicating matters further is Bayern Munich, who have entered the race and are prepared to submit a higher bid than Barcelona.
Still, the Catalan club hold one advantage that they already have Diaz’s full agreement. The Colombian has made it clear he would not demand unrealistic wages or contract conditions.
Now, the question is whether Barcelona will raise their offer or count on Diaz to hold firm in his preference.
With the player pushing for an exit and willing to wait, this transfer saga is far from over. What is certain is that Diaz has opened the door and Barcelona are already inside the room.
