With 2024 now behind FC Barcelona, the team will be looking to have a much better start to the new year. For that to happen, however, it is important for the Catalan giants to leave behind their recurring problems. Unfortunately, however, that has not been too easy for Barcelona to do.
The entire registration issue concerning both Dani Olmo and Pau Victor still remains intact, and it is clear to see that it is taking a toll on the team and the kind of news circulating. However, that makes it even more important for Barcelona to look at the brighter side of things.
Fortunately for the team, some great news now arrives from the most recent training session conducted by Hansi Flick. As confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, 17-year-old Barcelona superstar Lamine Yamal is back in group training today and looks close to his return now.
The €180 million-rated Spanish winger was previously sidelined with an ankle injury and the club decided to be quite cautious with his recovery. With reports previously stating that he would be back for today’s training session, it is now confirmed that he indeed is back to train with the group.
This will undoubtedly be great news for Hansi Flick, who has seen his team struggle in terms of results in recent games. Poor finishing and inefficiency in front of goal has definitely cost Barcelona a lot of points across the last two months, and it has even led to the team giving away their top spot in La Liga.
Now, however, Flick will be hoping to recover his team’s best version and consistently aim for victories again. First comes the Copa del Rey clash against UD Barbastro, a game that the club is hoping to have both Dani Olmo and Pau Victor registered beforehand for, and then the Spanish Super Cup clash against Athletic Club, a game which Yamal is expected to be back for.
