Barcelona, Real Madrid & Girona stars book spot in Euro 2024 playoff final | OneFootball

Headline stars from a number of La Liga clubs played their part in their respective nations marching on to the final of the qualification playoffs for Euro 2024 on Thursday.

Six fixtures were played to completion on the continent a short time ago, with Poland, Wales, Ukraine, Iceland, Georgia and Greece having marched on at the expense of Estonia, Finland, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Israel, Luxembourg and Kazakhstan respectively.

This means that the final round of qualification fixtures for this summer’s European Championships, set to play out next Tuesday, are as follows:

Path A: Poland vs Wales

Path B: Ukraine vs Iceland

Path C: Georgia vs Greece

And expected to play central roles once more, as they did on Thursday, will be a whole host of high-profile performers, currently plying their club trade in Spain’s top-flight.

From Poland, Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski leads the way, with Ukraine set to depend on a player each from Real Madrid (Andriy Lunin), Girona (Artem Dovbyk), and Valencia (Roman Yaremchuk), the latter two of whom found the net to secure their country’s turnaround win over Finland.

Georgia, meanwhile, round out the La Liga representation, boasting a solitary star, in Valencia shot-stopper Giorgi Mamardashvili.
