The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona are expected to be open to negotiations regarding the potential sale of a member of the club’s defensive ranks this coming summer.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Andreas Christensen as the player in question.

Stopper Christensen, for his part, has of course endured an altogether difficult campaign to date.

Owing to a pair of injury problems, the Danish international has managed just a solitary appearance across all competitions.

After at last recovering from a prolonged Achilles issue last month, Christensen is currently sidelined once more, after picking up a calf problem in training.

The former Chelsea man is therefore considered some way down the pecking order in Hansi Flick’s ranks as things stand.

And as much could well culminate in Christensen being moved on with a view to next season.
