Barcelona are reportedly open to offers for their defender, Andreas Christensen, with Saudi club Al Ittihad among those showing interest.
This information comes from journalist Alex Pintanel, who suggests that the Danish international could be one of the surprise exits during the final days of the transfer window.
The defender, who joined Barcelona two summers ago on a free transfer from Chelsea, has a contract with the club until 2026. However, he is not considered an undisputed starter, having missed the recent match against Valencia.
Given this situation, Barcelona are willing to entertain offers for Christensen, especially considering that his transfer would be entirely profitable since he arrived at the club for free.
Any money gained from his sale would contribute positively to the club’s financial fair play situation. Barcelona’s ongoing struggles with their salary cap have made it necessary to consider offloading players like Christensen to free up funds for new signings.

Recent reports indicate that Barcelona are prepared to sell Christensen for a fee of just €25 million. This decision is largely driven by the need to manage the club’s finances better.
While several clubs have shown interest in the player, Christensen has made it clear that he would only consider leaving if a top-level project is on the table. However, no such offer has materialised yet.
Meanwhile, Newcastle United are one of the clubs that have reportedly expressed interest. However, they are currently facing their own financial fair play challenges, making it difficult for them to move forward with a deal.
On the other hand, Al Ittihad’s interest might be more promising for Barcelona. The club could be hoping for a more substantial offer from the Saudi side, which would provide significant financial relief.
