La Liga giants Barcelona are ready to step up their pursuit of a leading summer transfer target over the weeks ahead.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Luis Díaz as the player in question.

It is of course common knowledge at this point that Díaz has been earmarked as the first-choice attacking target on the part of Deco and the Camp Nou brass this summer.

The 28-year-old, owing chiefly to his direct profile, is considered the ideal addition to Hansi Flick’s ranks in the final third.

To date, Liverpool have not opened to a sale, eager to keep hold of a key member of Arne Slot’s Premier League-winning squad.

But Barcelona, evidently, have not been deterred…

This comes amid confirmation on the part of the aforementioned MD that the Blaugrana are ready to do ‘everything’ in their power to bring Díaz in over the weeks ahead.

The Colombian international has been prioritised over all other attacking signings, ahead of an all-out assault at the Camp Nou.
