Barcelona reach verbal agreement with new manager | OneFootball

The powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona have come to an agreement in principle with the club’s next manager.

That’s according to Javier Miguel of Diario AS, amongst others, who point towards Hansi Flick as the tactician in question.

Flick’s name has of course repositioned itself front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the course of recent days.

This comes after word was forthcoming that the Barcelona brass were expressing a fresh interest in his services, ahead of the potential dismissal of current head coach Xavi.

Blaugrana chief Deco is understood to have sat down for a meeting with the German on Wednesday, during which the parties talked over a potential joining of forces in the summer.

And, evidently, such discussions proved of a productive nature.

As per the aforementioned Javier Miguel:

‘Hansi Flick will be the next coach of FC Barcelona.’

As much comes after a verbal agreement was reached on Wednesday, over the terms of a contract which will see the former Bayern Munich boss take up the reins at the Camp Nou for the next two seasons.
