Barcelona have agreed a deal to sign one of the world’s best strikers in Robert Lewandowski.
Lewandowski will move to the Camp Nou after eight years after an agreement in principle had been reached with Bayern Munich in a deal worth a reported initial €45m.
The completion of the transfer is subject to a medical being passed and contracts being signed.
The Polish striker scored an incredible 344 goals in 375 games for Bayern, including 98 over the last two seasons, and his time at the club yielded eight Bundesliga titles, three German Cups and the Champions League in 2020.
In May he expressed his desire to leave the Bavarian giants and had been the subject of intense transfer speculation ever since, with Chelsea also heavily linked with his signature.
But he has now followed Franck Kessié, Andreas Christensen and Raphinha in joining Barcelona, and he may not be the last arrival at Camp Nou this summer, with Sevilla’s Jules Koundé also reportedly on the Catalan club’s shopping list.
