The past 24 hours or so have been very forgettable for Barcelona captain and first-choice goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
A blunder in the game against AS Monaco from the German international led to Eric Garcia’s early sending-off, following which he conceded two goals that should have been stopped.
Naturally, Ter Stegen has copped a lot of criticism after the game, with his post-match comments also not going down well.
Fans on social media have been calling for the club to replace him and it seems that some of his teammates might also not be averse to that idea.
Indeed, during a chat with the social media channels of the Kings’ League, Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal opted to pick Inaki Pena over Marc-Andre ter Stegen as the goalkeeper in his best 7-a-side team.

Yamal’s preference of Pena over Ter Stegen is certain to create some buzz, especially with it coming right after Barcelona’s defeat to Monaco caused by a huge mistake by the 32-year-old German international.
As for the rest of the team, Yamal opted to go with his Barcelona teammates Pau Cubarsi and Ronald Araujo as his two defenders while opting Pedri and Gavi as his midfielders.
Up ahead in attack, the 17-year-old chose himself and Athletic Club winger Nico Williams, who has been linked with Barcelona.
Finally, Yamal went with Hansi Flick as the coach of the team, with the team’s colours being blue and red, like that of Barça.
