Barcelona presidential candidate Emili Rousaud wants the election postponed.
The vote is to be held on January 24, though Rousaud says the Spanish government's lockdown should mean it is shifted to a later date.
Rousaud said: “In extraordinary times and circumstances, you have to take extraordinary measures and right now the health and lives of our socios are more important than the elections.
"If we have to risk the health of our fans I prefer the process to be postponed."
Favourite Joan Laporta has urged the opposite, insisting Barca will lose vital ground if they remain without leadership for further months ahead.
