Barcelona presidential candidate Font in Mbappe contact as Real Madrid alerted

Barcelona presidential candidate Victor Font is making a move for PSG striker Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappe is a 2021 priority target for Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, but Font wants the World Cup winner to join his ticket for next year's Barca election.

Font is now in contact with Mbappe's minders with the aim of convincing him to choose the Blaugrana over Real.

However, Real and Florentino are in the boxseat to sign Mbappe after several years of groundwork.

Mbappe has already rejected a €150m-a-year five-year contract - net - from PSG to stay, with all signs that he will be sold next summer.

Indeed, Mbappe has added top sports lawyer Delphine Verheyden to his team with the aim of negotiating a departure from PSG in 2021.
