Barcelona president Joan Laporta decided to sack Ronald Koeman last night with no warning.
Rayo Vallecano's victory over Barca on Wednesday night saw coach Koeman sacked.

Goal says Laporta went into the game with no intention of dumping Koeman, but after the manner of defeat to promoted Rayo, he chose to instantly dump the Dutchman.
Koeman was informed of his dismissal on the flight back to Barcelona.
While Laporta had discussed with his fellow directors parting with Koeman for several weeks, last night's decision was made in direct response to the Rayo defeat.
