Barcelona president Joan Laporta has confirmed that La Blaugrana have finalised deals to sign free agents Franck Kessie and Andreas Christensen.
Both players were available on free transfers after their contracts expired at AC Milan and Chelsea respectively at the end of the 2021/22 season.
Kessie finished up a five-season spell at Milan on a high, helping the club to its first Scudetto in over decade by scoring six league goals in 31 appearances. Christensen, on the other hand, departed Chelsea having won the FIFA Club World Cup last campaign and the UEFA Champions League the season before that.
Speaking in an interview, Laporta confirmed both signings and the days which they are due to be unveiled as Barcelona players:.
“We will present Kessié on Wednesday and Christensen on Thursday," he said.
The Barça president also gave an update on the potential arrival of Bayern Munich superstar Robert Lewandowski, admitting that the club are 'flattered' that Lewa is keen to join them.
"Lewandowski is a Bayern player and I prefer to keep reserved on this matter," he said.
