Barcelona are reportedly preparing to offer Lionel Messi a new long-term contract.
Messi has stayed at Barcelona since making his debut in November 2003, winning over 30 honours and six Ballon d’Ors.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barça are willing to offer the 32-year-old fresh terms, that would keep him at the club ‘for the rest of his career’.
Messi has shown no desire to leave Camp Nou but is said to be considering alternative options with just 18 months left on his current deal.
Club officials have informed Jorge Messi – Lionel’s father and agent – 0f their intention to hand the forward fresh terms.
Arturo Vidal and Ivan Rakitić are expected to leave Barça in January.
