Barcelona close out their 2023/24 La Liga season with a trip to face Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium on Sunday evening.

The Catalan side are guaranteed to finish second but will want to send departing manager Xavi off with a victory. Having performed a U-turn and decided to stay following his initial resignation, the legendary former Barcelona midfielder has now been dismissed ahead of next season.

After a patchy run of form towards the end of April and the beginning of May, Barca have won their last three matches on the trot without conceding. Given Sevilla have lost their last three outings and sit 13th in the table, Xavi should finish his reign with victory.

Here is how Xavi could line his Barca side up for the final time this Sunday.

GK: Marc-Andre ter Stegen - The Barca stopper will be searching for a fourth successive clean sheet and a 16th shutout of the season against a Sevilla side that hasn't scored in their last two matches.

RB: Jules Kounde - Having earned his spot in Didier Deschamps' France squad for this summer's Euros, Kounde will be in good spirits heading to Seville. He has made the right-back spot his own under very little pressure.

CB: Ronald Araujo - Having been dropped in recent weeks for Inigo Martinez, the Uruguayan could be restored to the lineup this weekend. Much like Xavi, Araujo's time in Catalonia could be coming to an end.

CB: Pau Cubarsi - Still just 17, Cubarsi is one of the first names on the team sheet already. He will move over to the left-hand side of the back two if Araujo is handed a start.

LB: Joao Cancelo - With his loan coming to an end after Sunday's match, there will be questions to be answered regarding Cancelo's future. Whether the next coach will want him is one thing and whether Barca can afford him is another.

CM: Fermin Lopez - The youngster has been in and out of the team this season but has enjoyed an impressive run of form late in the campaign. He scored twice against Almeria prior to the most recent 3-0 win over Rayo Vallecano.

CM: Andreas Christensen - Barca's solution to their defensive midfield issues, Christensen may be called upon in a number six role to provide greater protection in Seville.

CM: Pedri - After bagging twice against Rayo Vallecano from the bench, Pedri will have earned himself a start this weekend. The 21-year-old will be Barca's playmaker in central areas.

RW: Lamine Yamal - The fleet-footed teenager grabbed himself another assist last time out and will be aiming to punish a Sevilla defence that has been porous in recent weeks.

ST: Robert Lewandowski - The future of the Polish forward is still in doubt heading into the summer transfer window despite his desire to stay at Barca, but his recent goalscoring form has proved useful for the Catalan giants.

LW: Raphinha - Another player who has been in and out of the starting lineup recently, Raphinha could start this Sunday. The Brazilian has scored two and set up two in his last six games.
