Barcelona players share heartfelt messages after club doctor’s passing | OneFootball

FC Barcelona were hit by tragedy yesterday as they saw one of their first-team doctors, Dr. Carles Miñarro Garcia, pass away just before their game against Osasuna in La Liga.

The doctor died in the team’s training camp, and naturally, the Blaugrana dressing room was left in a state of shock due to this painful loss.

As Mundo Deportivo has reported, several Barcelona players took to social media to express their grief on Dr Minarro’s death.

One of these players was Pedri, whose message went as:

“I still can’t believe it. A big hug to Carles’ family and friends.”

Similarly, the full-back Alejandro Balde also expressed his sorrow on social media:

“RIP Carles, my deepest condolences to the family and loved ones.”

Other players like Marc Bernal, Héctor Fort, Fermín, Eric García, and Iñigo Martínez also took to their social media to express their condolences. Gavi wrote one of the most heartfelt messages, which went as:

“RIP, Doqui. Always in our hearts, we will miss you very much.”

Similarly, Ronald Araujo wrote:

“Unbelievable. Rest in Peace, Doc. Much strength to the family and friends.”

Raphinha had a rather simpler message: “Strength. Rest in Peace, doctor”. Similarly, Inigo Martinez also wrote: “Rest in Peace, doctor.”

Marc Andre Ter Stegen, who had been looked after by Dr Minarro following his injury in the game against Villarreal, expressed his grief in the following words:

“I’m at a loss for words… I send all my strength and support to your family and friends. Rest in peace. We will miss you dearly and always carry you in our hearts, Carles.”

The former Blaugrana player and captain Sergi Roberto also took to social media after hearing of Dr Minarro’s death. He had known the doctor for seven years, mostly during his time at Barcelona.

These messages only provide a glimpse of the loss that these players might have been feeling last night. Hopefully, the doctor’s family will find some relief with these messages as they go through a very painful moment.
