Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick is giving serious consideration to affording a rest to two key members of his squad, in the club’s upcoming meeting with Leganés.
That’s according to Diario AS, who have provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.
Barcelona are of course primed to return to action later this evening.
Fresh off a morale-boosting victory over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League in midweek, the Blaugrana will turn attentions back towards matters in La Liga, in a meeting with the aforementioned Leganés.
Amid a hectic recent run of fixtures for his side, Hansi Flick has over recent days been tipped in the media to shake up his XI for the clash.
And, if the latest update on the situation to have surfaced on Saturday is anything to go by, then this is indeed a route which the Barcelona coaching staff are considering heading down.
As per a report from Diario AS, rests are being considered for both Pau Cubarsí and Dani Olmo later tonight.
Stepping into Barca’s line-up in place of the pair, meanwhile, would be the returning Ronald Araújo, and Gavi (pushing Pedri into a more attacking role).
