Barcelona are open to offers for Francisco Trincao following their recent signing of Memphis Depay, Spanish publication Sport claims.

Depay was regularly linked with the Blaugrana over the past few months, and his free transfer was finally announced on Saturday.

He is the club’s second forward signing this summer after Sergio Aguero. It is now reported that the Blaugrana could offload few attacking players.

Trincao is highly regarded by the club, but they believe that the Portuguese would be one of the players who would assure them good money.

He was purchased from Braga for €21 million last year with Abel Ruiz – valued at €9m, moving in the opposite direction as part of the deal.

The club are likely to demand more than €30m for his services. They have already received an approach from a Premier League outfit.

Sportslens view:

Trincao made 42 appearances in his debut season last term, but he was largely a substitute, averaging just 31 minutes per game.

With the arrival of Depay, his game time could be reduced further, and the club seem willing to cash in on his services at the right price.

A move to the Premier League has been touted for him, and Wolverhampton Wanderers could be potential candidates to land his signature.

Trincao is represented by Jorge Mendes’ agency, which has brought several Portuguese players to the Midlands outfit in recent years.

The 21-year-old can operate on either wing but prefers to play on the right. He could replace Adama Traore, who has been linked with a summer exit.
