Barcelona’s reserve team, Barça Atletic, is enjoying a solid campaign. Following a recent 2-1 win over Tarazona, the team led by coach Rafa Marquez has secured a playoff spot with three games left to play.

And one of the standout players from the team is Pau Victor, who has been a regular source of goals during the season.

Nonetheless, the youngster’s future is currently up in the air, as he is on loan from Girona and not a permanent member of the Barcelona set-up.

Pau Victor attracting interest

Now, as per SPORT the Barça Atletic forward is enjoying an outstanding season, and his scoring feats are attracting interest from major European clubs.

With 20 goals and assists this season, his impressive performance have put Barça in a tricky spot: they need to decide whether to exercise their €3 million purchase option for the striker.

If Barça were to invest in Pau Victor, their main objective would be to either sell him for a profit at a later date or retain a portion of his prospective transfer revenues.

Several clubs are reportedly interested in him, with AZ Alkmaar of the Netherlands being one of them.

Other Eredivisie teams like Feyenoord and Ajax have also expressed interest. Although they might not have the funds to compete, clubs in Spain have inquired about the 22-year-old too.

Pau Victor would want to stay if promotion is achieved

The report adds that Pau Victor would want to remain with Barça Atletic in the event of the team’s promotion.

Names like Eric Garcia and Oriol Romeu could enter the fray, as Girona have shown interest in permanently acquiring their services next season.

Ultimately, finding a compelling offer that works for everyone is Barcelona’s priority as they seek to overcome their financial woes.
