La Liga giants Barcelona have on Wednesday been linked with a move for another high-profile winger option.
As much, of course, comes as the Barca brass continue to seek out an alternative to first-choice summer transfer target Nico Williams.
Amid the widespread understanding that Nico is increasingly likely to stay put at Athletic Club for the season ahead, Deco and his team of directors have been forced to look elsewhere in their search for fresh blood out wide.
On Tuesday, Juventus outcast Federico Chiesa was named as one such option.
And, as alluded to above, 24 hours on, another leading figure at one of Europe’s top clubs has too been tipped to make his way to the Camp Nou.
The player in question? Kingsley Coman.
France international Coman is understood to have been deemed surplus to requirements by Bayern Munich this summer, available for transfer as a result.
Amid a lack of suitors to date, it has even been suggested that the 28-year-old could be farmed out on loan.
And, as per a report from Diario Sport:
‘The player has been offered to a Barça that is looking to sign a left winger for the new project and he is a player that Hansi Flick knows and appreciates especially.’
Barcelona have not yet completely thrown in the towel in their pursuit of the aforementioned Nico Williams, but, should the Catalans reach the final days of the window without a new face on the wing, the Coman option could be taken into serious consideration.
