Barcelona ‘not considering’ move for linked Serie A star | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona are not currently giving consideration to a move for Inter Milan star Denzel Dumfries.

That’s according to Marca, who have this weekend provided a fresh update on the situation.

The name of wing-back Dumfries has of course emerged as a prominent one in Barcelona over the last couple of days.

This comes after a series of reports were forthcoming, suggesting that Deco and co. had earmarked the Dutch international as a potential market opportunity.

Dumfries is said to have been offered to Barca by super agent Jorge Mendes.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from Spain over the last 24 hours is anything to go by, then those of a Blaugrana persuasion eager for their side to land the explosive defender need not get their hopes up.

As per a report from Marca, owing chiefly to their financial situation and Hansi Flick’s faith in the trio of Jules Koundé, Eric García and Héctor Fort:

‘The Catalan club are not considering signing Dumfries. He is not eligible for the team.’
