According to SPORT, Barcelona summer signing Roony Bardghji did not train with the group in Friday’s session and left the Ciutat Esportiva with the club’s approval.

The decision does not hide any injury or fitness issue. It is simply because in the afternoon, the reserve team will play a friendly against Atletic Lleida, and it is considered a good step for the Swedish winger to gain rhythm while his situation is resolved.

Bardghji, signed by the club with an eye on the future, is still not registered for La Liga and the Catalans are working against the clock to complete it. The sporting priority is clear, but the financial situation prevails.

The 19-year-old winger was brought in to train with the first-team dynamics but play for the reserves. However, his impressive performances during pre-season under Hansi Flick have convinced the staff that he should remain in the senior squad.

The report further states that exit-bound Barcelona starlet Hector Fort will also be featuring in that same friendly for Barça Atletic.

The youth academy player did not attend the Ciutat Esportiva session and will instead join the reserve team to gain minutes before leaving Barcelona.

After several weeks of considering offers, the full-back is close to exiting the club on loan, with West Ham United emerging as his likeliest destination.

The coaching staff considers it useful for both players to build match fitness in a less demanding context, while waiting for the puzzle of arrivals and departures to allow Bardghji to make his definitive step up.
