As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘Gerard Martín and Unai Hernández are the two players with a reserve team card who have been registered by FC Barcelona as part of the A list to play in the 2024-25 Champions League as they have not been on loan for two full seasons or three with a maximum of one between the ages of 15 and 21.’

Left-back Martín has for his part already featured under the watch of new Barcelona boss Hansi Flick this season, even afforded a surprise starting berth in the Blaugrana’s La Liga meeting with Rayo Vallecano.

As much comes with the 22-year-old, fresh off a fine season with Barca Atlètic, having made use of pre-season to position himself ahead of both Héctor Fort and Álex Valle in the full-back pecking order in Catalunya’s capital.

Midfielder Unai, on the other hand, is yet to take to the pitch at senior level this season.

The 19-year-old, though, has long been making a name for himself as one of the standout talents in the youth setup in Barcelona.

And such efforts, evidently, have not gone unnoticed on the part of the aforementioned Flick, enough to earn Unai a place on the club’s 24-man A-list for European competition.

Turning attentions towards the Blaugrana’s B-list, the following players will be eligible to be called up for Champions League duty right up until midnight the day before any league phase match:

Ander Astralaga, Diego Kochen, Hèctor Fort, Sergi Domínguez, Alexis Olmedo, Andrés Cuenca, Aleix Garrido, Marc Bernal, Pau Prim, Quim Junyent and Toni Fernández.
