To make their desired addition in this summer transfer window, FC Barcelona will have to raise a significant sum of money. This money can come through different sources, but it is looking highly unlikely that the Catalans will be able to undertake their business without selling some of their current players.

There are several players whom the Blaugranes have contemplated selling in the last few weeks. One such player is the Brazilian striker, Vitor Roque, who has been unable to establish himself as an important player at Barcelona since his move in the last winter window.

The Saudi club Al-Hilal was the latest side to show an interest in the player, and as earlier reported, Barcelona have already given their go-ahead for this transfer.

Now, SPORT has provided more details of the negotiations underway between the two clubs for Roque. The Saudi side is looking to get the player on a loan with a mandatory purchase option, while Barcelona are looking for a full sale. The Catalans are asking more than €40 million for the striker.

The final decision will still be made by the player himself, who knows that he will not get a lot of minutes at Barcelona.

Al-Hilal had long been in contact with Barcelona. However, earlier they were trying to sign Raphinha, who ruled out such a move. Now, their focus has turned to Roque, as the Saudis look to get him on loan from the Catalans.

Barcelona want Al-Hilal to permanently purchase the striker this year, and such a deal can solve a lot of problems for the Blaugranes. They will not have to worry about Roque’s registration this summer, and can also earn up to €50 million from such a transfer. However, they will also have to give a small part of this fee to Athletico Paranaense.
