According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick met with his agent Pini Zahavi in the Catalan capital on Thursday.

After taking the morning training session at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, Flick headed to the Hotel Majestic, where he and Zahavi spent around 90 minutes over lunch discussing various matters.

The pair have enjoyed a close professional relationship for a long while now, and the meeting is not a surprise.

Zahavi played an important role in Flick joining Barcelona last year, and following his successful debut campaign with the Blaugrana, the German has even signed a new contract extension until 2027.

Apart from Flick, Zahavi also represents some Barça players, including striker Robert Lewandowski, who has attracted interest from Saudi Arabian clubs.

However, with just two weeks remaining in the transfer window, a departure for the Polish forward is not being considered.

The Flick-Zahavi meeting followed a sit-down the previous evening between the Israeli agent and club president Joan Laporta, with whom he also has strong ties.

During that meeting, the Lewandowski situation was discussed while the name of an unknown Brazilian player managed by Zahavi was also put on the table, although any signings are unlikely to take place.

After all, Barcelona are still working to balance their La Liga salary cap, reaching the 1:1 spending ratio, and finalising player registrations, a situation that makes additional signings unlikely at this stage.
