Barcelona continue to be active in the transfer market, and once again the focus has shifted to ongoing talks with Mallorca.
According to SPORT, a new meeting has taken place at the Joan Gamper facilities between Barça’s sporting director Deco and Mallorca’s representatives, Pablo Ortells and Aritz Aduriz.
The discussions, like last time, are centred around three players, namely, Hector Fort, Jan Virgili and Dani Rodriguez.
One of the main names on the agenda is Hector Fort. With Pablo Maffeo set to leave Mallorca, the La Liga side see Fort as the ideal replacement.
While Mallorca are keen, they face competition from other clubs, as Fort has offers from Como, Paris FC and even Premier League teams such as Aston Villa and West Ham.
Barcelona, however, are only willing to sanction a loan move so Fort can develop further in top-flight football before returning to Camp Nou.

Another player being discussed is young winger Jan Virgili. Left out of Barcelona’s pre-season tour, Virgili remains with Barça Atletic for now.
Mallorca manager Imanol Alguacil is interested in bringing him in, and negotiations are ongoing.
Once again, Barcelona are demanding a loan deal or €4 million for 50% of Virgili’s rights in case of a permanent transfer, along with a favourable buyback option.
Mallorca, though, are only offering €2 million, creating a tug-of-war between the two clubs.
The third case is that of Dani Rodriguez. While Valencia and Celta are no longer in the race, Mallorca continue talks for his transfer.
Barcelona, however, want to retain a degree of control over his career, possibly through clauses that secure future rights.
With negotiations still ongoing, it remains to be seen which of these players will make the move.
What is clear is that Barcelona are carefully planning exits while ensuring long-term benefits for the club.
