Since the start of this season, FC Barcelona have got their forward line of Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski, and Lamine Yamal performing at a very high level.

The Pole is already the top scorer in La Liga by quite a margin and is also proving himself to be one of the best strikers in Europe this season. Similarly, Raphinha has also clearly stepped up his game this season, while Yamal has also shown clearly improved finishing ability.

Still, as the game against Real Sociedad showed, this forward line is quite lacking in depth, and having another world-class forward would truly make this Barcelona attack one of the very best in Europe. The Catalans are aware of this deficiency and are reportedly already looking at some options to bolster their forward line.

They have already been linked with wingers like Rafael Leao and Nico Williams in recent weeks, and another player they are linked with for this position is the Napoli winger Kvicha Kvaratskhelia.

SPORT cites Italian sources to claim that while Napoli are engaged in negotiations with him for his renewal, an agreement looks unlikely, and Barcelona and PSG are two clubs that are trying to take advantage of this situation.

The salary that the Georgian receives at the Italian club, €1.5 million net, is significantly lower than what a player of his quality deserves, and his release clause currently stands at €130 million. These two aspects are the main point of contention between Napoli and the winger’s entourage, and Kvaratskhelia is starting to get fed up with his situation.

For now, the Italians are looking to close the renewal before the end of this year, and are offering him €5 million and a release clause of at least €100 million. However, these terms are still not acceptable to the player, and he can leave the club in June.

If things get to this point, PSG and Barcelona will be his two main options. PSG might be able to offer a bigger paycheck, but the winger is more impressed by the Barcelona project and believes he can win important titles with the Blaugranes. Barcelona are already working on this operation.
