Barcelona will hope to be back operating at La Liga’s 1:1 rule for next summer’s transfer window, but even if they are, their financial problems will not be solved. As such, the free agent market is one that they will look to use, as they have done in recent years.
There are several big names that will be out of contract next summer, and Barcelona are monitoring their situations. As per Sport, this is the case for three players in particular: Bayern Munich pair Alphonso Davies and Joshua Kimmich, as well as Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah.
Barcelona are expected to close the signing of Tah, who would strengthen their options in central defence. Deals for Davies and Kimmich would be significantly harder to pull off – not only because of the club’s financial woes, but also because there is bound to be plenty of other clubs that try to sign the duo.
