Barcelona continued to keep the pressure on Real Madrid with a narrow win over Las Palmas.

Raphinha appeared to have handed the fallen champions an early first-half lead but his strike was disallowed following a VAR review for offside.

But the Blaugrana were boosted by their visitors being reduced to 10 men as goalkeeper Alvaro Vallés was dismissed for a reckless foul on Raphinha.

The Brazilian would finally break the deadlock on the hour mark by heading home from João Félix’s pinpoint ball over the top.

Xavi’s side bridged the gap with Madrid to five points ahead of their arch-rivals facing Athletic Club on Sunday while Las Palmas remain in 12th.
