The Blaugrana were trailing 2-0 here from the first leg and went out all with their team selection as Ronald Koeman named his strongest side.

And it was one of their star forwards who got the scoring underway after only 12 minutes as Dembélé rifled one home from the edge of the area.

The home team were in total ascendancy here and really should have gone level on aggregate towards the end of the half, only for Frenkie de Jong to sky the ball over from close range.

They almost paid for that profligacy on 75 minutes only for Lucas Ocampos to miss from the penalty spot, hitting his effort from 12 yards straight down Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s throat.

But with just 30 seconds of the game to go, Gerard Piqué nodded in from six yards to take the game to extra time.

It didn’t take long for the Catalan club to make the most of their momentum in the added 30 minutes as Martin Bratihwaite headed in to give Barça a 3-0 lead.
