Barcelona may have been busy in recent weeks trying to find a new attacker in their bid to add more depth to the offensive unit.
But the club haven’t lost sight of fresh renewals that they need to complete in order to secure the future of existing stars.
Frenkie de Jong has been one such player whose renewal talks have grabbed a lot of attention, with the Dutchman likely to pen a new long-term deal.
But Barcelona are also working on the renewal of another top-quality player in the form of Ferran Torres.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are determined to renew the contract of Torres, whose current deal at Camp Nou expires in 2027.
In recent weeks, Ferran has been linked with a move away from Camp Nou, with Aston Villa reportedly among the clubs interested in his services.

However, Barça appear to have no desire to offload the Spanish international anytime soon and in order to seal his future at the club, they want to hand him a new contract.
The process, however, has been delayed due to various reasons, including Barcelona’s ongoing economic trouble, coupled with other priorities in the market.
But one thing is for sure, Barcelona will hand Ferran a new deal sooner rather than later, with the new contract likely to extend his stay at the club until 2030.
Barcelona see Ferran as a key piece of the puzzle going forward. The club, in fact, view the former Manchester City as a proper number nine now, meaning he is considered a primary alternative for Robert Lewandowski.
Barcelona, therefore, have no desire to lose someone who has proven himself to be an able alternative for the ageing Polish international.
