Following up on the story, a report from SPORT has confirmed that Gavi’s decision to travel to Paris was a personal decision as he just wants to be there with the rest of the group.

A true professional

Gavi showcased his relentless dedication to Barça once again, illustrating his deep commitment to the team.

Despite undergoing a rigorous recovery process for a severe knee injury, the young midfielder felt compelled to stand by his team during the PSG tie.

Although currently sidelined due to medical reasons, Gavi’s loyalty to the club has never wobbled. He has diligently attended all matches at Montjuic and now, he felt it essential to be present for this pivotal encounter as well.

It is said that Gavi’s presence is not just symbolic; it holds significant weight within the squad. He is admired by his teammates for his exceptional talent and unique charisma, which undoubtedly encourages a sense of unity among the players.

Xavi, on his part, has been instrumental in making sure this attitude stays on. While fostering a familial atmosphere within the locker room, he always ensures that every player feels valued and connected to the collective cause.

What about the others?

It is to be noted that despite not being medically cleared, Barcelona have included Pedri and Frenkie de Jong in the travelling squad.

De Jong, on his part, holds hope for a comeback against PSG since his sprained ankle poses a lesser risk of recurrence, providing a glimmer of hope for his return to action.

Pedri, on the other hand, faces a more challenging road to recovery due to a muscular injury, which demands caution.

Meanwhile, Alejandro Balde opted to continue his rehabilitation at Barcelona, preferring to focus on his recovery process.
