Barcelona in pole position to sign Corinthians star Pedrinho

The 20-year-old is widely considered one of the most promising attacking talents in Brazil having starred for the Sao Paulo side ever since his debut last year.

The playmaker has since gone on to make over 50 appearances for the Timão, scoring four goals.

There is believed to be widespread interest from clubs all over Europe, but Goal are claiming that Barça are in pole position for his signature and are set to beat the likes of Shakhtar Donetsk and Porto to his signing.

The Blaugrana’s South American scout Andre Cury has apparently been to watch Pedrinho on several occasions this season and has this week has gone to Corinthians to ascertain his availability.

The midfielder, who plays predominantly on the right-hand side is believed to be valued at around €25m.
