Jonathan Tah has become one of the most sought-after prospects in the transfer market, as big European clubs look to snap him up in the summer of 2025.

Currently plying his trade for Bayer Leverkusen, the defender’s contract with Die Werkself expires at the end of the season, meaning he will be available as a free agent in 2025.

This makes him an appealing target for several European clubs, with Barcelona among the clubs interested in his services.

For the longest time, though, Barça have faced stiff competition from other European rivals including Real Madrid, who yield significantly stronger financial firepower.

Barcelona in advanced talks to sign Tah

In a major development, however, El Chiringuito claims Barcelona are in an advanced position to sign Jonathan Tah next summer.

The Catalans have been eyeing a Bosman move for the German international for a long time now and it appears they are close to completing the capture.

This implies that Barça have also managed to fend off competition from Real Madrid, who were reportedly eyeing a January move for the centre-back.

It appears the Leverkusen defender is keen on joining Barcelona, as he looks to take the next step in his career.

One would imagine Hansi Flick has played a major factor in convincing Tah to join Barcelona. However, the rumours should only be taken with a grain of salt, as these are still early days.

It was reported recently that Tah is unlikely to make any final decision on his future anytime soon. Therefore, we may get a clearer picture only after the turn of the year.
