A recent report from Albert Roge has offered an update on the future of Victor Barbera. The Barça Athletic striker has raised many eyebrows with his performances in the subsidiary squad and has been the subject of speculations over his future.

A native of Barcelona, the young forward had joined Barça youth academy in the summer of 2020. Since then, he has enjoyed a rapid rise to prominence, having already become a key player for Barça. Athletic at the age of just 18.

The young forward has racked up four goals in 11 appearances for Barça Athletic so far this season. He also netted seven times in the UEFA Youth League this term.

He has impressed the onlookers with his work ethic and decisiveness in the final third. His performances have not gotten unnoticed either, with multiple clubs keeping close track of his situation.

Barbera’s current contract at Barça Athletic expires at the end of the season. Barcelona have yet to hold any meeting or discussion over the possible renewal.

In the meantime, Barbera will hope to continue his progress at Barça Athletic under the leadership of Rafael Marquez. His development will go a long way in convincing Barça to speed up his renewal and the player himself will not make a decision on his future without responding to the club’s offer.
