Barcelona are very keen on bringing Real Betis defender Junior Firpo to the Camp Nou this summer.
The 22-year-old shot to prominence for his standout performances last season and they didn’t go unnoticed with the league champions.
MARCA report that Barcelona are ‘extremely interested’ in Firpo and have made him their top defensive target.
They are long-time admirers of the left-back and have made that position a priority one to strengthen during this window.
Cover for Jordi Alba has been on the agenda for some time, with another target, Filipe Luis, falling down their wish list.
That leaves Firpo as the top choice and his current club appear to be preparing for a potential exit, after bringing in Alfonso Pedraza.
Barcelona are also reportedly considering a player as part of the deal to lower the cash cost involved in signing the Spain Under-21 international.
Marc Cucurella, who they bought back from Eibar, and Juan Miranda are being considered as potential makeweights in a deal.
