La Liga giants Barcelona have long sewn up a full agreement to close the signature of a highly-regarded up-and-coming attacker.
The player in question? Ibrahim Diarra.
The name of youngster Diarra may be a familiar one to those of a Barcelona persuasion.
This comes after the Malian winger spent a trial period in Catalunya’s capital earlier in the year.
Diarra was brought to Spain by the Camp Nou brass on the back of a standout showing at the U17 World Cup, where he racked up a head-turning five goals and three assists.
And, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then the starlet evidently impressed those in the academy setup at Barcelona.
Diarra was in the end forced to depart upon the expiry of his visa late in February, but the Blaugrana hierarchy informed both the player and his entourage that they had every intention of bringing him back after he had turned 18.
And, according to Diario Sport, a formal deal for as much has in the meantime been completed:
‘At SPORT we have learned that the agreement with the African Foot Academy of Mali to sign Diarra is completely closed.
The gifted attacker, set to turn 18 in December, will in turn soon be plying his trade in the famed red and blue of Barcelona once more.
