With just a little over a month left on his contract, Ousmane Dembele could be on his way out of Barcelona when his deal runs out, reports Mundo Deportivo.

The report claims that Barcelona have almost given up hope on extending the contract of the 25-year-old forward and believe that there is a 95% chance that the winger moves on next month on a Bosman deal.

Dembele’s contract saga has dominated the headlines for almost a year now. Despite protracted negotiations, an agreement is yet to be arrived at between the two parties, and as per the report, it is claimed that there are still some major differences between their stances.

Dembele, for his part, has performed admirably in the second half of the season, and has privately maintained that he wishes to continue at Camp Nou. However, it is claimed that his agent, Moussa Sissoko, controls the situation and the Frenchman trusts him to make the best decision.

Barcelona have reportedly already sent a new proposal with innovative formulae so as to meet the forward’s demands while not hurting the club’s financial situation. However, there has been no communication from the player’s side, as per the report.

The Catalan giants are set to meet with Sissoko for one final time this week when they are expected to make one final offer. And a decision from the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner’s camp will be expected then, but as things stand, chances of an extension look extremely slim.

Instead, it is believed that the former Borussia Dortmund attacker could be on his way to his homeland, where he will join forces with Lionel Messi at Paris Saint-Germain.

Despite renewing Kylian Mbappe’s contract, the Ligue 1 champions are pushing to sign him as a replacement for Angel Di Maria. And if the report is to be believed, Dembele may very well have played his last official game for Barça, when he featured against Villarreal.

Although he has travelled to Australia for the friendly against A-League All-Stars, his time at Camp Nou could be drawing to an end.
