La Liga giants Barcelona have on Tuesday been afforded a boost on the financial front.
This comes amid confirmation that Vitor Roque’s permanent departure from the club appears to be back on track.
The name of youngster Roque has of course dominated the headlines across Spain over the course of the last couple of days.
This comes after Palmeiras’ efforts to bring the Brazilian back to his home country were all of a sudden halted in their tracks by La Liga.
The Spanish football authorities argued that Roque could not be sold, owing to his status as a loan player with Manuel Pellegrini’s Real Betis.
As much marked a blow for not only Palmeiras, but Barcelona, too, amid ongoing efforts on the part of Deco and co. to raise funds ahead of the summer.
Both clubs, in turn, will no doubt be delighted to hear of the latest word stemming from the media on Tuesday.
This comes amid confirmation that FIFA have overruled La Liga, giving the green light to Barcelona, Betis and Palmeiras to complete the Roque operation.
As per a report from Diario Sport:
‘According to FIFA, there is no impediment for Tigrinho to be sold, because there is an agreement between all the parties involved, including Betis.’
Barcelona are expected to receive a sum in the region of €25 million for the transfer, which should be completed before this week’s Brazilian deadline.
