Barcelona finds itself in a precarious position within the league standings, further intensified by the team’s unpredictable shifts in form. This has heightened the scrutiny placed on underperforming players.

One of the names facing fluctuations in form is Raphinha. The Brazilian impressed last season after making the leap from Leeds but has yet to fire on all cylinders this campaign.

While the departure of Ousmane Dembele and the tender age of his backup, Lamine Yamal, have certified Raphinha as the undeniable starter on the right wing, concerns regarding his performances are beginning to mount.

Patience growing thin

Indeed, as per SPORT Barça’s patience is wearing thin, and they are pressing him to make progress.

If he doesn’t, they may put him up for sale the following summer in order to recoup their investment and maintain their salary margin in anticipation of a new arrival.

Proposals for him were made to the Blaugranes in the summer, but Deco, the sporting director, backed him because the likelihood of signing guaranteed replacements on the wings was low. Xavi’s faith in the player also contributed to his continuity.

Deco anticipated the 27-year-old would explode at Barça after his first year of acclimatization, but this has not happened yet, and there is cause for concern.

A man in demand

The Brazilian is still highly regarded in the Premier League, and Saudi Arabia is very interested in signing him.

Barça are open to bids since the club is required to make some significant sales to acquire a forward and a high-caliber midfielder.

Although Newcastle made an attempt to sign the Brazilian last summer, Barcelona rejected the offer. Still, if Raphinha fails to turn his situation around, the exit door may swing open this time.
