Barcelona great Luis Suarez Miramontes says the current team isn't good enough.

Luisito was commenting after Barca's defeat at home to Real Madrid on Sunday. Barca's defeat at the Nou Camp to their eternal rivals was a blow to coach Ronald Koeman, after the Catalans had arrived on Sunday on the back of victories against Dynamo Kyiv in the Champions League and the previous Sunday against Valencia.

Former Barca midfielder and scout Luisito couldn't hide his disappointment with the performance on Sunday. The Spaniard has questioned the quality of Koeman's squad.

Quoted by AS, he said: "Barça is not going anywhere: many do not measure up.

"The team is not like it was a few years ago, but it is not to play this way either. It is not aggressive nor does it play as a team. Too many players don't measure up. It is a team without feet or head."

Indeed, Luisito also expressed concern over expectations for fit-again teenage attacker Ansu Fati. The Barca great says the club is asking too much of the young striker.

He continued: "Barcelona has very little strength in attack and a total disorder in defence. That way it doesn't go anywhere. If Madrid had pushed against us, they would have scored four. Barcelona cannot live off a kid who has been around for a year and a half [Ansu Fati]."

Defeat to Real Madrid leaves Barca in ninth position on the LaLiga table, six points behind leaders Real Sociedad.
